Julie-Ann Laudat
Julie-Ann lives and work in Antigua and Barbuda. Her work also extends to the Caribbean region and beyond – the Philippines and Africa (the later via distance training). Julie-Ann holds a Masters Degree in Agriculture Diversification (food science option), completed in 2000 and a Batchelors Degree in Agriculture (crop and livestock) completed in 1994, both from the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago. She is the founder and manager of JAL Training and Consultancy Services from 2011.
Experience
Over 30 years of experience providing training and technical assistance to producers, over twenty years providing training and technical assistance to agro-processors and twelve years training food service personnel; plus, ten years of experience working in quality infrastructure policy development and facilitation.
2011 – Current: Manager of JAL Training and consultancy Services
2002 -2011: Technical Specialist of Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) office in Antigua and Barbuda (managed the technical programme for the six areas of IICA work in the country)
1987 -2002: Ministry of Agriculture, in Antigua and Barbuda (worked twelve years in the Agriculture Extension Division in training and education, as well as, communication for crop producers; Plant Protection Unit, supervisor and manager of the plant quarantine and crop protection programme on the ministry).
1983-1986: Science teacher in the Ministry of Education, Antigua and Barbuda in primary and secondary schools.
