Before his passing away, Dr. Jörg Meyer-Stamer's last publication in 2009 (in German language) was about Industrial Policy; "Moderne Industriepolitik oder postmoderne Industriepolitiken?";. The study is opening a new series of the 'Arbeitskreis Industriepolitik' hosted by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Germany. Jörg defines a holistic approach to industrial policy that requires an improvement of public competences and describes the necessity of focussing more on network policy. It is a manifesto for achieving global competitiveness beyond traditional state interventionism and market fundamentalism.
