    Dear mesopartners,

thanks for keeping me posted on the LEDCasts - I enjoy them very much.

This one was of particular interest to me as we have been working on the topic for quite some time.

Very recently we have published a Guidebook on the topic with a chapter on LED - deriving mostly from experiences made cooperating with mesopartner in Sri Lanka and Nepal (http://www2.gtz.de/dokumente/bib/gtz2009-0266en-conflict-affected-environment.pdf)

There is also a working group in the DCED http://www.enterprise-development.org/page/psd-in-conflict-affected-environments concerned with the topic.

    Cheers

    Daniel

I'm very interested in the topic of local and regional economic development, and hope to incorporate it into the public policy curriculum at our university (American University in Cairo), but this comment section will be worthless if you guys don't moderate it. It is clearly filled with junk from some type of generator.

    Hi Jörg,
excellent conversation. Actually Grant adressed a lot of the main issues which were important for the development of NIRO. I think that the stakeholder analysis in the very beginning is a critical point, too.

To add the golden rules (credibility an trust): if you have not enough credibility in the beginning you have to be really authentically engaged in the process. The will to manage the process with a good stratetic planning and emotional understanding was my key to success. Business people can often identify that will.

    Best Regards

    Pascal
