![]() Elaborating a Compass of Local Competitiveness can be the outcome of a single workshop, but it may be more practical to have a sequence of three workshops. The total duration of a single workshop would be between 1.5 and 2.5 days, the sequence of workshops would still be concluded within a week. For a detailed description of the Compass, please click here. A pilot test of the Compass was conducted in October 2004 by the GTZ BDS/LED Programme in South Africa. We are also introducing the Compass to GTZ's CONCOPE programme in Ecuador. We are testing a variety with a special focus, the "Compass for Quality", in the CONAC/PTB project in Costa Rica.
