6th International Summer Academy on Local Econmic Development
from the 26th to 30th of July 2010 in Duisburg, Germany
The Academy is an annual learning event that aims at practitioners in local and regional economic development.

- Promotion of innovation in poor and thriving regions
- LED methods and tools for interventions in different economic realities
- Value chains and business-driven strategies
- Making markets and networks work in territories
- Overcoming conflicts and communication barriers in LED
The event will be completed with visits to structural change projects and events in the former coal and steel Ruhr Valley region. The region has been nominated as the "European Capital of Culture 2010 ("Ruhr 2010")
