First mesopartner Academy in Africa
You are a practitioner in local or regional economic development. You work in or with local or regional government, a business association, an NGO or a donor agency, and your task is to promote economic development at a local or regional level. Maybe you work at national level and have to design and support local and regional initiatives. You have gone through basic training courses where you collected theoretical know-how on concepts and tools. You tried to apply them - some of them worked, some others didn't. You are looking for new insights on local and regional development, and you want to share and discuss your experience with practitioners from other countries.

Deadline for registration is 11 July 2008. To qualify for the early bird fee, we need to receive your registration and the first installment by 14 June 2008. Please note that the number of participants is limited to 25. Early Bird Fee The early bird fee in the Academy amounts to Rand 17,950.- including 14% VAT if you pay into our account in South Africa € 1,630.- including 19% VAT if you pay into our account in Germany Normal Participation Fee The normal participation fee in the Academy amounts to Rand 19,500.- including 14% VAT if you pay into our account in South Africa € 1,770.- including 19% VAT if you pay into our account in Germany The fee includes the entire cost of meals, accommodation and local transport, including pick-up and drop-off at O R Tambo airport (formerly Johannesburg International, airport code: JNB). Transport from your country to O R Tambo airport is not included.
